On 8 December 2014, France and the United States signed an agreement establishing a $60 million compensation fund for Holocaust victims deported from France who, because of their nationality, could not gain access to the pension programme for disabled servicemen and war victims, or, in certain circumstances, their heirs for victims deceased after the war.
